MonoJim.com is a member of the MoabLive.com network of websites. The mission of Monojim.com is to increase the public's awareness of the beauty of Mono County, California, and the preservation of unique landforms and enhancement of its lifestyle. In 1959, I visited Mono County, California for the first time. A lot has changed since my first visit, but much remained the same. By 2006, the internet, as we would recognize it today had been entrenched in popular culture for over a decade. Still, in Mono County and The West, few businesses had more than a simple webpage to speak about their commercial offerings.
One day in 2007, I visited an Apple Store in California. There, on the sidewall was a large flat screen, showing images of young people enjoying the out of doors. Immediately, I purchased the MonoJim name. Since then, I have purchased over 135 internet names, most of which refer to specific places in the Western United States. In the past few years, I have used those names in websites, as listed at the bottom of our Links Page.
