For almost a decade, Moab Live and Back of Beyond Books, located on Main Street in Moab, Utah featured a webcam, streaming live from the Antiquarian Section of that fabled bookstore. In late 2018, the old webcam computer gave up the ghost, failing completely. Rather than show a blank image, we have substituted our live webcam located at the Spanish Valley Vineyards, also in Moab, Utah. Soon the tasting room will be filled with patrons, sampling the fine wines produced there.
Meanwhile, at the Back of Beyond Book Store, according to proprietor, Andy Nettell, "We are an independent bookstore with a large selection of books. The name of the store derives from Edward Abbey's controversial novel, The Monkey Wrench Gang. His character Seldom Seen Smith was an outfitter, and the name of his company--and hideout--was 'Back of Beyond'. We specialize in natural history, environmental literature, Southwestern guidebooks and maps, Native American books, and Western history".
